Michelle (Bholan) Klein litigates commercial cases in federal and state court.

As part of the Rivkin Radler Superstorm Sandy litigation team, Michelle is representing a major corporation in class action litigation. She also has successfully tried an insurance coverage dispute arising from damage caused by Superstorm Sandy.

In addition to representing insurers in first-party property disputes, Michelle represents insurers in fraud claims arising from the healthcare and automobile insurance industries.

Michelle also has a diverse labor and employment practice. She has extensive experience representing clients in disputes involving discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour, and restrictive covenant/non-competition claims.  She also has significant experience representing clients in various proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board.

Since 2014, Michelle has co-authored the recurring article entitled, “Recent Developments in Business Litigation,” for the Annual Survey of the Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Law Journal.

New York Super Lawyers magazine has named Michelle as a Rising Star in the Metropolitan New York area since 2016. Only 2.5% of the lawyers in New York are named to the Rising Stars list. She also has been recognized in Ones to Watch by Best Lawyers in America® from 2021-2023. Ones to Watch is a recognition given to attorneys who are earlier in their careers for outstanding professional excellence in private practice.

Before joining Rivkin Radler, Michelle was a fellow at the New York City Law Department and an intern with the Hon. William D. Wall in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York.

Michelle gives back to her community by volunteering as a co-leader for a Girl Scout Troop. Her work with children has inspired her to take on a new challenge: She is currently learning to speak French.
