Yonatan Bernstein is a Partner in Rivkin Radler’s Compliance, Investigations & White Collar and Insurance Fraud Practice Groups. Yonatan helps insurers prosecute civil lawsuits under the federal Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act and state law, including affirmative actions to recover insurer claim payments to physicians, medical clinics, attorneys, public adjusters and others involved in complex, large-scale insurance fraud schemes.

Prior to joining Rivkin Radler, Yonatan served as an Assistant District Attorney for four years at the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office. As an Assistant District Attorney in the Trial Division, Yonatan successfully prosecuted a wide variety of felony cases, including, assault, robbery, burglary, gun possession and financial fraud related offenses. He handled the prosecution of these cases from intake to trial, conducting investigations, plea negotiations, motion practice and evidentiary hearings. Yonatan was also lead counsel in numerous jury trials.

Yonatan also has prior experience in representing insurance companies in insurance subrogation actions where he drafted pleadings and motions, engaged in settlement negotiations, took depositions, and argued motions in both New York and New Jersey State Courts.
